A native of Oakland, California, Attorney Williams is the principal attorney at the Law Office of Jacqueline Williams in Washington, D.C.  Her primary practice areas are Criminal and Civil Litigation.  After receiving her B.S. in Criminal Justice at Grambling State University in 1997, 

Attorney Williams began her legal career as a Juvenile Corrections Officer in Atlanta, Georgia where she served as Lead Officer in the largest facility for juveniles in the State of Georgia.  Inspired by the young people she encountered at the juvenile jail, she resigned her post to attend law school at the Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In law school, she served as the junior class representative, she worked as a member of the law school recruitment team, and served as staff writer on the law review.  As a staff member on the law review, her casenote on the incarceration of African American mothers due to fetal abuse was selected for publishing.     

After graduating from law school with honors, Attorney Williams moved to the east coast where she pursued justice for the residents of Kings County as an Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn, New York.  Following her tenure as a prosecutor, she opened a general litigation firm in New York City and represented private clients in civil and criminal defense cases throughout the five boroughs of New York City. She currently runs her law practice in the District of Columbia where she also serves as a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel in D.C. Superior Court.  Attorney Williams also serves as an Administrative Hearing Officer and the President's designee at University of Maryland College Park.  

Attorney Williams proudly serves as an Ambassador and 2015 Society member for the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture.  She was among a handful of young philanthropists who served as the museum’s initial group of ambassadors who secured more than $250,000 in monetary donations. The group helped raise awareness of the program which has grown to more than 1000 ambassadors worldwide. Attorney Williams is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, and the National Council of Negro Women.

Attorney Williams has served as a speaker and panelist on criminal justice issues for the Congressional Black Caucus Legislative Conference, Al Sharpton's National Action Network, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated, and several local churches.  In 2012, she was appointed by the Mayor of the District of Columbia to serve as a board member on the district’s Commission on Reentry and Returning Citizens Affairs. In 2014, Attorney Williams served as a volunteer attorney for President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder’s Clemency Project which assisted non-violent federal prisoners with securing early release from prison.  In 2015, Attorney Williams spearheaded a fundraising campaign among her law school graduating class which raised the largest class gift in the history of the law school. In 2017, Attorney Williams was the proud recipient of the National Bar Association's Rising Star Award.
